Prison Ministry
Currently, our outreach to people who are incarcerated is through two distinct programs, The Amazing Grace Camp for the children whose parents are or have been incarcerated and a program entitled FAIR which stands for Financial Assistance in Re-Entry.
F.A.I. R.
Improving the lives of people who were previously incarcerated through lending and community support. FAIR helps recently released individuals legitimately overcome their financial barriers and get resettled in their communities by providing low-interest loans. Repaid principal and interest are reinvested, which increases our capacity to serve more individuals.
Amazing Grace
St. Mary’s began the one-week Amazing Grace camp in the summer of 2014 for children whose parents are incarcerated, and Amazing Grace has since become its own independent 501(c)3. We are passionately dedicated to supporting these children who so desperately need to feel God’s love in their lives, so we actively encourage parishioners to volunteer with Amazing Grace.
