Greetings from our Community
We would love to get to know you better! There are many ways to meet others here at Saint Mary’s. Maybe one of these ideas will appeal:
- Join us for coffee hour after the 10 am service or a reception after our Saturday 5 pm service (on the first and third services of the month)
- Tour our gardens or church campus with a parishoner
- Attend one of our newcomer gatherings (a few each year)
- Join a study, prayer, men’s breakfast or fellowship group
- Try one of our monthly Taize services on the first Saturday of each month at 5 pm
- Visit our Angel’s Treasures Thrift shop to see the wonderful items there
- Request a visit with a member of our clergy.
Do you have questions you’d like answered? Do you want to speak with a fellow parishioner or newcomer committee member? Contact: Judy Knauer at fabjude@comcast.net or 203-249-2764
Taking the Next Step – Join Our Community
At some point you may wish to officially join St. Mary’s Church. We hope all who consider Saint Mary’s their spiritual home will make a formal commitment and become a member. This brings you closer to the fellowship and community where we put our faith into action. We most sincerely welcome every individual into our community without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or previous religious affiliation. Learn more about becoming a member here.
Our staff will need the following information to help welcome you into our community.

What is Expected of Members?
Members are encouraged to participate regularly in worship services and in the activities and mission of the parish. Saint Mary’s offers a variety of ways to become involved: our music, our gardens, programs for formation and for fellowship, and a wide variety of outreach ministries. It is our hope that everyone (newcomers, established members, and the curious) will take advantage of these opportunities. We also ask members to provide financial support for our life as a parish through annual pledging. In doing so, we are able to grow in our faith, support our spiritual home, one another and extend generous outreach into our community.
