October 9-11 Saint Mary’s 5th Annual Parish Retreat
Our retreat this year will again be on Columbus Day Weekend, October 9-11, 2010 and begin with lunch on Saturday at 12 noon and conclude with lunch on Monday. Our 2009 theme was “Growing Towards God” and there was (among other things!), a ropes course for older kids and age appropriate activities for younger kids. Along with our program, there was ample free time for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful setting.
See photos from the 2009 retreat.
The Overnights of Hospitality is a Cape-wide program that over 30 churches have been participating in since 2002. St. Mary's hosts up to 7 men or women from the NOAH Shelter one night each month for conversation and connection with people who are experiencing homelessness. We provide food, a movie, bedding and a nice safe place to stay overnight for our guests. Volunteers are needed to help provide food, transportation, overnight chaperoning and laundry services each month. Our Women's overnight is on the second Monday of each month and the Men's overnight is on the fourth Wednesday of every month.
